Basically Bush supply wild high quality possum pelts to New Zealand and the world.Basically Bush Limited was first established in July 1998 by directors/shareholders Sue & Steve Boot. Business activities revolve around possum harvesting (possum fur & skin procurement). In April 2008 Basically Bush Limited, changed its name to Wairata Holdings Limited and is now owned jointly by Sue & Steve Boot of Wairata Holdings Limited and Woolyarns Limited.
The possum skin tannery is located in Woodville, Southern Hawkes Bay and is the operations base, while Head Office is located in Wairata, Opotiki. |

What we do
Our work revolves around possum harvesting (possum fur & skin procurement), and the processing of possum skins at our tannery in Woodville.
The Tannery has the capacity to process over 200,000 pelts per year, we also have the ability to dye small volumes for niche markets "and bespoke products".
